Who's with me? :)
October 12th, 2008
Poor Bella, she is cold too. She was actually shivering yesterday. We made her sleep in her little sweatshirt last night though, so she seems better this morning.
We're trying not to use the heater, but we might need to start. The cold makes me soooo unproductive. I just want to lay under the layers and layers of blankets on my bed to keep warm! Even showering doesn't sound appealing to me, b/c you have to eventually get out of the hot shower, and then you will be even more cold! Oh well, eventually I will need to do something productive today.

Not sure why, but I have always liked October. People might think it's b/c Halloween is coming, but I don't even really like Halloween--just the idea.
Reasons I'm excited about October:
- Leaves will start turning orange
- Walking on the dry leaves and hearing them crunch
- PUMPKIN PATCHES!
- Matt and my "dating" anniversary--7 years!
- Did I mention PUMPKINS!
- Cooler weather -- hot tea, soups!
- Seeing if we get any trick-or-treaters for Halloween!

Her name is Bella. She is a 2.5 month old Yorkshire Terrier, or a Yorkie for short. We feel so lucky to have found her. She fits right in with us and seems to be adjusting to life at our house pretty well (and believe it or not, Matt is the one that spoils her!).
Last night was our first night with her. Yeah, we are going to have some issues with sleeping. We put a crate in our bedroom that she sleeps in. First, she didn't like the crate. Matt had to pet her for about 15 minutes until she feel asleep. Then we both had to sneak into bed so we wouldn't wake her. That was fine and all, but since Matt works pretty much everyday at 4am, Bella heard the alarms this morning and figured it was time to play. Matt took her out and let her run around...but once he left for work, she went back in the crate and started to cry. So, I ended up having to sleep on the floor next to her until 8:30 when I finally woke up. She does fine when I'm right next to her. She sleeps and everything, but once I would move to my bed, she would cry. I know I'm going to have to let her cry it out, but I didn't want to do it on the first night. :(
Anyway, we are taking her to Matt's parents' house this afternoon. Hopefully she does okay there. She seems to do okay with lots of people, so that's nice. I worry about the things she can pick up since she is still a puppy. We don't take her to any public places yet, obviously. But, I think the Lowers is fine and our backyard is fine.
Well, I gotta go take a shower. She's going to cry! :(

Imagine that...it's over!
April 2nd, 2007
School started back up last week. I can't believe that it is my last quarter!!! I'm only taking 3 classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It was my first weekend having four days of no school, and I can already tell you it is kinda odd. I realize that there are plenty of things to do with my days off (like mucho studying!), but for some reason, nothing really gets done.
Over spring break a bunch of my friends and I went up to South Lake Tahoe. Now, I was going to do a detailed description of the trip, but 2 of my friends have already done that (agentchang and stebany). So, I figured it would be really boring for the people who have already read their journals to read another long journal about our trip. Instead I will just highlight some of the main parts of the trip (which are a lot).
Sunday - March 25
--Got a late start, but ended up having brunch at IHOP in Sac.
--I drove up to South Lake Tahoe in Denny's car, along with Esther, Matt, and Paul.
--The drive felt short.
--There was very little snow to be seen when we got to Tahoe. It was sad.
--We stayed at Harvey's--which I think I would recommend for others.
--We walked around Tahoe for a bit.
--Some gambling took place--Ali and Denny won some money, so they took us out for dinner.
--We ate at the American River Cafe. It wasn't too good.
--Some people came back to our hotel room (oh, I shared with Matt, Esther and Paul) for some drinking.
Monday - March 26
--Got up and headed to Sierra at Tahoe for some snowboarding! There were 9 of us now (Rob 2 joined us).
--Group got separated into 2 groups.
--First group (obviously living on the edge) went up a very steep ski lift that led to a 2.5 mile long "beginner's slope". Let's just say, this wasn't recommended for people who hadn't been snowboarding before--actually, with the package we got, they weren't even supposed to have been up there.
--Second group played it safe and tried the bunny slope until it was time for our lesson @ 1:30.
--I dive head first off of the ski lift at the top of the bunny slope.
--I sit there for about an hr trying to get up on the stupid snowboard. Eventually, I do.
--Den, who was in the first group, finally meets up with us after taking the fastest way down the 2.5 mile long slope--a black diamond slope that was near the beginner's slope!
--About 5 of us are ready for the lesson.
--The group starts collecting at the lodge. Everyone is alive! :)
--We got back to the hotel. Matt, Paul and I go to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. The rest go to Arbys.
--It is starting to snow!
--Really starting to snow.
--We relax at the hotel and eventually sleep.
Tuesday - March 27
--We wake up to realize there was some pretty good snow fall throughout the night.
--We ate at a buffet for breakfast at Harrah's which was very yummy!
--After checkout, we play around in the parking garage in the snow!
--Snowball fights (and I think I was targeted) and snowman building--fun!
--We go to a gun and antique shop before we head back to Sac.
--The snow storm is heading in.
--Our drive back seems long and we are in the storm.
--Thankfully, we got back to Sac all safe and sound! Yay! :)
Overall, it was a great trip. :)
Let's see, what else to update...
Oh, I pierced my ears last Friday. The first hole didn't hurt, but the second one did. I think b/c he dropped the back and was pinching my ear with the earring in it while searching around to find the back. And, yesterday I went shopping with my bridesmaids for their jewelry and shoes. Luckily, we were able to find shoes for everyone (which was more of a job than you would think it would be).
I guess that's it for now. Better get ready to start my day! :)

Went snowboarding for the first time on Monday.
Came back home Tuesday afternoon.
Yay! We made it!--all safe and sound!! :)
FYI: More details will follow. Need to sleep now.

I can't believe that the weekend is almost over. Where did the time fly?
On Friday night, Matt and I went with his dad and sister to see the Blue Man Group @ Arco Arena. I have to say, I was quite impressed with their show. I didn't really know anything about them going into the concert (had just seen them from a tv commerical), but they truly but on a good show. It was a lot of fun! :)
Today, I got to sleep in, which was nice. Then Matt and I went with my mom to the Downtown Plaza to continue registering for our wedding. It is soooo overwhelming. I wish there were like 2 of everything to pick from, and then you would just pick between those 2 things--but no, there are like 1000 different plates and 1000 different pots and pans...it's crazy! Oh well, it's getting done little by little.
We also picked up our save-the-date cards today! They came out really cute. I'm going to go back to my parent's house tomorrow to put them together to mail. It's so exciting! It's like, now it's a reality that Matt and I are actually getting married! :)
So, I have 2 midterms this coming Thursday and 2 more next Wednesday. I really need to start doing some studying major!
Hope everyone has a good week! :)
